Woohoo! Another round of shopping! Nearly bought another skirt from Esprit. But I stopped myself. Am I wearing all of my skirts hanging in my wardrobe? No. Ok, so I skipped that and got two shorts and one top. Why so happy? Cuz my keyboard song presentation is over!! :D Was worried over the song, Rain Down by Planetshakers. practiced till 11.45pm last night. dozing off in the office today. Not that it was related. But maybe..

So during the presentation, I played and paused a bit. Sang high & low. Coach said well done on the ballad. But the key was funny. got to work out the right key so the singing would be either high or low, not both. Man, I didn't know how I played my ballad on the spot :/ If I were to play it now, I can't rem the exact notes. It must be God. THANK YOU!! :)

It was quiet in the office today. Damn one sneaky client. ARGH! I am always chasing payment. Called her the whole morning. No answer. After lunch, I tried again. Cannot be no one in the office right? So I tried using another line. I have 4 lines. So I use the fourth one (the one which always have people calling for the Registry of Marriage! Haha, that's another joke for another day). ONLY one ring, and the client picked up the phone!! HA!! I got her. she must be ignoring my calls when she sees my first line on the caller ID. Grrr... I better get the cheque by this week!! Lord, please help me!! To think that it is a 'reputable' organization. my foot!

My daily work - Twitter is one window which will be kept opened throughout the day. Company blocked off MySpace and other gossip/entertainment sites. No MSN. No using Facebook (I still do secretly). So I rely on Twitter to get updates from all over the world. and I just found out there are some random ppl following me online. So weird. But it's so cool to be reading one-liners about the lives of many famous people. The trick is also to differentiate the real deal from the fakes. I found my general manager on twitter. He's quite a funny guy. Haha! but I'm not following him officially, DUH!

Feeling very stretched, which is good. Staying in front of office computer has got my shoulder muscles tensed up. One year & 3 months.. that's how long I've been working. I'd be solid as bone if I just continue working and not swim at all. (actually, I would prefer a good massage!)

Went for a swim after work. WOW. it's been a really really long time. Swam 10 laps (breadth of pool ONLY) and got tired. My toes cramped in the middle of the first lap. HAHA. and the kids, they swam faster than me!! I'm gonna make it a weekly thing. (HAHA. what happened to my weekly run??!!) Reading Ash's blog is good motivation :)

Unreasonable customer called to ask me calculate amount payable for 2 events. She has not even confirmed her event(s). so I needed to know her requirements. noted it down and said to call her back with the figure. You mean you have no calculator??!! woah!! relax lah. no need to shout over the phone! I didn't want her to wait and have the awkward silence while calculating. it's a huge figure and I didn't want to make any unnecessary mistakes. no choice, I calculated on the spot. and the awkward silence reigned.

Hate it when customers accuse me when I'm not around. This happened more than twice. thrice? maybe more. When a customer comes over for a site visit, I will introduce them to the venue. what we offer. the equipment packages. the different cameras. the rental list. the additional rooms. miscellaneous items; skirted tables and chairs which we can provide f-o-c. And when I am on leave, they come over/call again. They speak with my manager and tell her, AH! Lois didn't tell me this/that. Worst is, She didn't tell me anything! ARGH. All I can say is, God bless you!! I have a standard template which I follow. my conscience it clear.

There are so many other incidents/situations that I hate at work. but I always laugh it off. Cuz every job is a preparation for the next one. and I'm sure it will help me with relating to people in university in the future. Near future, I hope. I am depending on God :)

Actually, there are others in a more 'trying' situation, compared to me.
